Joshua Schreck
Judge Advocate General - Army

Joshua Schreck was elected National Judge Advocate General of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. on Aug. 1, 2024, at the 125th VFW National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky.

 He served in the United States Navy and United States Army from 1999 to 2011, earning his VFW eligibility by serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. His decorations
include the Combat Action Badge, and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, among others.
 
Joshua joined the VFW in 2010 at Post 12097 in Buffalo, New York, later transferring to Post 1263 in Renton, Washington, where he maintains his Life membership. He has served in elected and
appointed positions at the Post, District, and Department levels. On the national level, he has served on the Veterans Service Resolutions Committee and the National Bylaws, Manual of Procedure and Ritual Committee, and served as Special Aide-de-Camp, National Deputy Chief of Staff, and has served as National Parliamentarian since 2022.
 
Joshua is a registered parliamentarian through the National Association of Parliamentarians.
 
He holds both a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. He has spent the past 10 years as a business executive and is currently the chief business officer at a national consulting firm.
 
Joshua, his wife Jennifer, and their daughter Ennis reside in Western New York.
