Heroes in the Ballpark brings military members, veterans, and
their families together for professional baseball in both
Eastern and Western Washington.

sponsor Airmen, National Guard members, veterans, and their
families for an evening at Avista Stadium.

Tacoma Rainiers at Cheney Stadium
The Western Washington event will bring military members,
veterans, and families from VFW Adopted Units, Joint Base
Lewis-McChord, Naval Base Kitsap, and surrounding communities
together for an evening of professional baseball.

Want to Join Us at the Ballpark?
Individual tickets are available for the Spokane Heroes in the
Ballpark game on Friday, September 4, 2026.
Tickets are $20 each. Download the official order form, enter
the number of tickets you would like to purchase, and follow
the instructions on the flyer to submit your order.
Heroes in the Ballpark is a VFW Department of Washington
Veterans & Military Support program that gives military
members, veterans, and their families an opportunity to enjoy
an evening of professional baseball together.
The 2026–27 campaign includes events with the Tacoma Rainiers
and Spokane Indians.
In Spokane, the program supports veterans from the
Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center, residents of the Spokane
Veterans Home, military members from Fairchild Air Force Base,
and their families.
Your Donation Puts Heroes in the Seats
Posts, Auxiliaries, members, businesses, and community
supporters can help sponsor military members, veterans,
and their families.
Help provide admission to Heroes in the Ballpark events.

Give families an opportunity to spend an evening together.
Support the VFW Veterans & Military Support mission.
Posts and Auxiliaries may also use this program as an
opportunity to direct Veterans Relief Fund support toward
active-duty military members and veterans in Washington.
Every Ticket Helps Support Military Families
Five dollars from each VFW event ticket sold is donated to the
VFW National Veterans & Military Support Military Assistance
Program, or MAP.
